10-24-2017:MODERNi; in a hamlet close to sterzing, we built an ensemble with the historical chapel: a garage with a henhouse protrudes from the mountain, whereas a small sauna with earth-colored façade is seemingly inserted into the terrain, yet a large window front opens it up to the valley. behind the stone wall built in the traditional layered technique, lies the residential house, a tile-covered building close to the mountain. the architecture takes pointers from the surrounding topography without changing it. the project as a whole is characterized by openness and restraint. architecture, surroundings, and art interact. lois and franziska weinberger’s typographic installations give each house its name – in the age-old tradition;Modern Design…Read More!
